Az International Association of Surgeons and Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO) Magyar Tagozatának Kongresszusa 2011. november 4-én Budapesten, a Danubius Health Spa Resort Hélia-ban kerül megrendezésre (1133 Budapest, Kárpát utca 62-64.)
A kongresszus kiemelkedő eseménye lesz a Haynal Imre Emlékelőadás, amelyet Lázár György professzor tart.
A Kongresszus során új vezetőség is megválasztásra kerül.
A Kongresszus fő témái vitára, tudományos értékelésre és végül közös álláspont kialakítására hívják a gasztroenterológusokat, onkológusokat és végül a sebészeket. A haladó laparoszkópia mind szélesebb körben művelt, a vitathatatlan fejlődés mellett felmerül a kérdés, hogy a finanszírozásban van-e előrelépés. A neoadjuváns target kezelésnek új jelensége a daganat/ok részleges vagy teljes átmeneti eltűnése, amely új stratégia kidolgozását igényli. A gasztroenterológus kollégák aktív bevonását célozzuk az Endoszkópia 2011. című főtémával, amelyben az onkológiai aspektusokat helyezzük a központba.
