This Evidence-Based Laboratory Medicine (EBLM) event aims to benefit students in training and practicing laboratorians at all levels of expertise, individuals and decision makers in the laboratory diagnostics industry, policy makers, individuals involved in reimbursement and clinicians interested in laboratory medicine. The overall orientation of this conference is how to translate the theory, knowledge and processes involved in EBLM into decisions and therefore into action. The program was developed by the experienced EBLM group and includes a combination of lectures, small group working sessions and feedback activities to best meet this aim. This
format of course is designed to be a “lean forward” rather than “lean back” educational activity.
