For several years CSRS-E has organized twice a year the “Hands on Cadaver Course”.
The course combines the unique experience of theoretical classes with hands on practice taught by distinguished faculty members of CSRS-ES. Young orthopedic or neurological surgeons interested in spine pathology benefit by learning invaluable techniques then practicing shoulder to shoulder with some of Europe´s finest surgeons. The Fifth Course was rated extremely well by all participants.
The next course will take place November 26 and 27, 2010 in Barcelona, Spain. The course is held at the well-known and highly respected University of Barcelona´s Faculty of Medicine laboratories. The price for the course is a modest 600 Euros which includes the course, two nights at a hotel, working meals and transportation to and from the course facilities.

Shoulder Prosthesis course
Shoulder surgery has made tremendous progress in the last few years. Today in shoulder arthroplasty, surgeons have a selection of treatments at their fingertips that range from resurfacing, to modular anatomical systems, to inverse prosthesis.This provides an even wider variety of surgical options depending on the shoulder pathology. In treating fractures, old techniques have been improved and new possibilities have arisen thanks to new implants, especially where the angle of stability is concerned.
