The first Pannonian Symposium on CNS Injury in 2000 sought to provide a unique environment for evaluation
of translational research in traumatic brain injury, a pioneering concept at that time.
Contemporary thought now appreciates that communication between basic scientists and clinicians is essential to
improve the relevance and impact of basic science discovery as well as the quality of patient care and
management – a major goal that the Pannonian symposia has embraced for more than 15 years.
Traditions can be measured in decades as well as in centuries. This year the Pannonian Symposium is linked to
celebration of the 650th anniversary of the founding of the University of Pécs, one of the first universities in
Europe, and currently a comprehensive university serving over 30,000 Hungarian and international students.
Appreciating the past – but looking to the future – we embrace this premise as the motto of the 7th Pannonian
Symposium on Central Nervous System Injury, an event also linked to the State of Hungarian Science meeting
on the 1
st of September. The Pannonian Symposium will herald this large scale scientific meeting that will
include the National Brain Program, launched and financed by the Government of Hungary.
Presentations from worldwide experts on brain injury research with a focus on pathobiology and applied clinical
research as well as patient care should help contribute to a better understanding of and ultimately, better
treatments for our brain-injured population.
The organizers believe that - like our previous Pannonian conferences - this symposium will be highly
informative and will inspire collaborative efforts in various areas of research focusing on CNS injury and repair.
The host city of Pécs harbors a special medieval atmosphere, with the majority of the city included in the
World's Cultural Heritage designation (UNESCO). Pécs is also a colorful and exciting Central-European city
that served as the European Capital of Culture in 2010.
As hosts of this symposium we look forward to the 17th anniversary of our first meeting, to welcome you again
to Pécs, anticipating that this meeting will again be an academic and social success, while commemorating the
founding of our University! |

Serbian Society of Cardiovascular Surgeons is organising its’ 8th Congress on 20th – 22nd of October, 2017, in Crowne plaza hotel, Belgrade. We have confirmation of 10 international experts, invited speakers, and we are expecting about 200 cardiovascular surgeons, nurses and technicians from Serbia and surrounding countries. Besides invited talks, abstracts sessions and workshops will be organized with expected high level of CME points. We are expecting also participation of cardiologist, angiologist and dermatologists in our scientific program. Join us with your abstract presentation (deadline is 01.07.2017) or your valuable and active discussion and spend some nice time in beautiful city of Belgrade.

Ez évben ünnepli alapításának 80. évfordulóját a Budapesten 1937-ben alapított FEMTEC (World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy).
A 70. közgyűlésre és tudományos kongresszusra a Nápoly melletti Ischia Portoban kerül sor. Az alapítás körülményei miatt a megnyitó előadást volt elnökünk dr. Fluck István tartja. Umberto Solimene elnöksége alatt a Termál klaszterek helyzetéről, jövőjéről, az egészségügy és helyi fejlódésben játszott szerepükről lesz szó, mint fő téma.
A többnapos kongresszust kirándulások, történelmi fürdők megtekintése színesíti.

Folytatva a korábbi EAP Mesterkurzus és Kongresszus rendezvények sikereinek sorát, a szervezők idén Szlovénia fővárosába, Ljubljanába invitálják az érdeklődő gyermekgyógyászokat.
A 2017-es Mesterkurzus vezető témája a gyermekgyógyászati infektológia lesz, a Kongresszus pedig az eddigiekhez hasonlóan a pediátria szinte minden más területét is érinteni fogja.
